shit demos tbh. both players playing bad compared to normal. reppie is playing worse of the two dunno how he won.
skill level is always low around this time of year.

I agree about the Reppie part. I thought Reppie's aim was way off for the most part. Conversely I thought Locktar's aim was dead on and he was playing dm4 far better than I've ever seen him.

reppie seems to play really +forward in first 3 games

when u dont play much its not just ur aim you lose, its every thing. its like learning tactics again. playing smart in all situations.

when i dont play for 2 or 3 weeks, my aim is shit and timing is terrible. I forget how to control noobs. i just play sooo bad and run around like a headless chicken tbh.

locktar is playing better than normal here, or it could just look that way cos reppie is sucking (sorry!).

a few things reppie does that are good and help to get the lead. but normally he would be doing that much more and would deny the enemy any control for long.

LocKtar has improved alot on dm4 and can beat about any opponent. You all know how good he is on dm2 and its just a matter of practise to become that good on dm4. As long as he refuses to play any other maps then dm2/dm4 he will eventually beat Reppie there.

I agree Locktar will be an amazing dm4 player and he is one of my favorites to watch. I do think when Reppie is H!O!T! he is always going to be a favorite to win. In these games we see Reppie goofing off, his movement and timing off, and lack luster aim. How quickly we forget how deadly Reppie is when he's on top of his game. Locktar does well against Reppie here but if you analyze his tactics he's doing nothing above par. What stands out in Locktar's play is prediction, aim, and consistency. When Reppie is H!O!T! he possesses all of that and also an ability to out-maneuver, out-strategize, and out-react his opponents. Very few players master this ability and if Locktar hopes to dominate Reppie I think he's going to have to step up his game a few notches.

If you also carefully observe the first few games played here, Reppie under-estimates Locktar ability to stay consistent. This is highlighted when we see Reppie happy to give away frags by rushing Locktar and pretty much throwing away his defensive game.

Heh, nice comments! Actullay reppie just fooled around first 3 games to make the "final" more tense. I played like crap becouse i have changed operating system from win2k to wixp(got some stupid virus) and 2 days after i was supposed to play reppie, i couldnt get the same mouse-sens as i had in win2k, so i have changes almost all mouse-settings possble, but with no success. I dont know how much reppie had played before the final, but i had played 2-3 weeks so my shape was pretty good, until i changed os, im not saying i would beat him, but i KNOW the skill in that final would have been much, MUCH higher:) im thinking serious of changing back to win2k, but that would be just for the sake of qw:) and im not to motivated yet!
anyway, i must agree with the first things serox said about not playing for 2-3 weeks, that was how it felt:) couldnt controll fast gameplay as it is when ur up against highskilled.
