excuse me, im complete moron in qw (poor internet connection), but great nq player, and im interested in few things :
what is with moving speeds in this demos i watch, they are too fast,
and how can somebody jump over dm6 platform without RJ, whats with shaft-RL jump from flor to platform also? & how is possible to jump from 2nd floor YA doors DM4 to oposite platform (tele) ?????????????????????????????????????????
please,someone.... :) laugh as much as you want but explain.....

xhrl: In my humble opinion crazymac is has the least chance of being made 1st team. No offense to crazymac but circle and xerial are looking quite hot. Also crazymac seems to get telefraged an average of 3 times a match. :D I guess we shall see, maybe Para's DK love will override my thoughts :)

Poster #13: I'm a speedrunner, so, as you might guess, I know a _LOT_ about NQ bunnyjumping, hehe... been watching QW (and playing some with my 100 ping iN US servers) for about a year or so now... at first I thought the same as you, with slight differences:

1. No matter HOW F*CKING HARD it seems, the jump over the dm6 gap _IS_ possible without a rocket jump, in Normal Quake. Finland's Markus Taipale was the first man to show this. It was jaw dropping. I can assure you that probably 99% of the QW community could not do it in NQ.. at least not without MANY MANY MANY hours of practise.

2. Markus was also the first to submit a demo with that dm4 single jump, from 2nd flor to opposite platform. Also quite hard, but I did it much easier than the dm6.

You wanna try hard jumps in NQ? (excluding the dm6 gap, which might be the hardest) ... e1m1 jump over slime =) ... e4m3 jump over gap at start, from side to side.. heh, can't think of more right now.

QWers learn to bunny quite quickly, as in QW the speed is gained so freakin' easily... if these guys would only have a CLUE of how hard it is to gain and mantain speed in NQ.. they probably think runners like me are insane, for playing the same short run (say, 20 seconds) for 10 straight hours to get a record. :) Hehe..

I always try and inspire some QWers to join the speedrunning scene... they have good aim, which is a plus, and they at least know the basic of NQ bunnying (will ned some time to know how to gain speed in NQ bunnies... so much different/harder) ..

Damn, I talk a lot!

Last but not least: In QW, when you hit the shaft door with shaft (in dm6), it goes up ONLY if you're standing on it, for a few fractions of a second. You can quickly RJ off it to the top platform. Other players use it to jump (no RJ, just normal jump) to the tunnel that takes you to mega.

Whoever finds this too long: leave me alone! :P

cause im not playing QW im not familiar with differences in physics QW - NQ, but im trying those jumps in NQ for some time. sorry where can i find some demos of hard jumps in NQ?
and i dont know what im doing wrong, cause on dm4 jump i always hit edge of the platform with my legs, seems like centimeter is missing.... some advice for gaining and mantaining speed in NQ will also be welcome :) thnx again
