I've been a speedrunner for many years now, normal Quake of course, not QW. But, since QW'ers keep going fast with their wild-speeded bunnies (coz of the different physics) and they also MUST have a killer aim to hit their opponents, I'd say most good QWers could make very good speedrunners. :) Well, it happens that a couple of runners were also kinda active in the QW scene.. And a friend of mine once sent a demo, saying something like "this is insane, airgibs and stuff, watch this guy!".. And, of course, it was THIS demo he sent.

I was so unbelievably amazed... Wow.. Coz of my bad connection and coz I live in the carebbean, I can't really play QW through the net... But I do watch a sh*tload of demos, and I'm into the scene as if I were playing somewhere! I've already stalked some of the good players.. LOL.. Ok, that's not really true. Just said all this coz this is the demo that got me into QW.. I still play the frogbots all the time.. and I still watch this one every night before going to bed. :P

Aimbot my ass... just coz the aim looks UNHUMAN doesn't mean it's aimbot.

While stalking Para, I've told him to play end.bsp a couple of times, heh heh, coz it sure rocks to see him play here.

Too bad I joined the QW scene too late, would've loved to read hundreds of comments on this demo. :( :(

After THIS demo came out that whole end/amphi/midair stuff started. Two frags of the demo are part of FDE2.
It's a classic :)

well, it is easy to frag someone who is not moving too much in the air, so i dont consider this a classic at all

omg i dont remember bunnyhops or moving in the air in kane vs lakerman but its still a classic. end wasnt really played until this demo came up...

Ok so I guess thats some other crazymac... this demo is classic, sure, but by todays standards only about 20% of its midairs are nice looking.. which is still tight concidering the age of the demo...

I'm talking about midairs that connect on long distances... The midairs that amaze the most today, though, are once that connect when the opponent is moving sideways in the air, or ones that connect on the top of his head, sending him down to *crunch* on the floor.

Anyways, QW rules :)

yes this is from a couple years back but it is by far my favourite dmm4 demo....the one with sod vs keen on dm4 and the shafting is a close second.

i recall seize-him (czm) last played a bit in some early cpm tournies and then later in sd3. other than that what has the fastest console typer in gaming history been up to :p

Don't be so jealous. I used to live in Argentina (till I was like 8), and I kinda miss the different seasons of the year... here there's only 1: summer. :) .. And I can't take the heat like other people.. I find it unbelievable hard to sleep without a fan throwing air to my face, or air conditioning... :/

The beaches.. you can be jealous about those though. :P
