This one is definitly a classic demo.
It's really old, keep that in mind when watching it...but when it was released everyone was like "OMFG" in that time, watch that nice shaft+mid-air gib when fasty jumps out of the upper room.
To sad giant doesn't play any more these days...I'm sure he still would rock on DM4. (Yes I know he lost vs. some players but it's just wonderfull to spectate him because his style is so nice and he played spectacular, not to win...)

no need to make any excuses for adding this dev0; it owns. there are many spectacular mid-air rocket hits...imagine if giant had had the midair mod to sharpen his aim up with back then? the second, 18th and 44th frag are fde material imo. yes giant still has style...even now:)

Uhm well serox for me quake is all about style not about to win. To win or not to win are the simple parts of quake when its all about technique. You play to win, that's what most normal players do.
Then there's the point where "art" comes into quake, where it becomes art for the one who has gone over win/loose. Then it's all about style and something that is hard to describe but only very few players have. giant is one of those players, definitly. And I can't remember another player who did it equal to giant in that point besides of reload.
there are as i already said players that "win" vs. giant but none of them plays that beautifull.
I guess you'll laugh about that, but this is most likely because you never got above the "win/loose"-thing in quake.
And no, you can't compare this demo to any current midair demos, this one is timeless.

devo, he plays vs newbs so ofcourse he;s gonna look good. he's all about flair and "looking good" rather than smarts and substance. i dislike quakers who only care about what other people think of them.

Hi quaker,

if he would "think" about what he looks like he couldn't play like that. It's impossible to force that kind of style, that's what most players try to do...to look "neat" but then they look sloppy finally...

nah we have to pay respect to our forefathers, and while ser was surely around when this was recorded, there's no denying that giant was excellent and enjoyable to watch.
