Just saw the demo, nice with some tf action. Hmm, was a very long time since I played it...
I watched the demo with mQWCL 0.96, and the skins worked, and the fov too. It was fov 90 until i wrote "fov 120" :p is it supposed to be like that? In a game, you just type fov 120, and it will stay until you die?
And one thing too, the concussion grenades and flashgrenades... it was all normal on my screen, and the player in the demo didn't seemed to be bothered either :P

I had to change the FOV every time the guy died. I was also using MQWCL 96
